Delegated Authorities (Proxied)
All about Delegated Authotiries (Proxied) accounts
Proxies are useful because they allow you to delegate authority over certain types of transactions to another account. Rather than using a single account, you can delegate authority to multiple smaller accounts with unique roles to carry out specific actions on behalf of your primary account.
The proxy accounts can be hotter than the primary account which in most instances is likely a cold storage wallet. The proxy accounts can carry out specific operations on behalf of the primary account which adds some level of flexibility in your account management setup.
Some example use cases of Proxy accounts:
Setting a hot wallet as a staking proxy to your cold storage wallet so you can easily change the validators you are nominating to.
Setting a hot wallet as a governance proxy to your cold storage wallet so that you can more easily vote in governance.
